Hi there before I order I was wondering if anyone could help me out:

See my issue is my co worker wants me to help her with her excel spreadsheets but to be honest I have no idea about how to go about doing anything on excel. I really need someone to help me with the specifications that i will detail below so that I could impress my co worker.

Here is what they wanted:

- What we need is an Occupancy Forecast tracking spreadsheet. Everyday we want to keep track of our occupancy forecast for the next 3 months. For example today Feb 7th we would want to know the occupancy forecast for the rest of February, for all of March and April. We would want to compare this to the last 3 years to see how we are trending. Are we ahead of occupancy for the rest of February, or behind last year? I have no idea and tools like this would be helpful for determining how we should price our product. I would like you to work on a design for the spreadsheet so we can implement this for March 1st.

- Also another project we would like to do is to create a daily update e-mail that basically summarizes how our hotel is doing. Ideally it would be on one page so we can print it out and give it to Front Desk Maintenance and Housekeeping. Basically we want to summarize the other reports we have onto one. The questions we want answered in this daily update are:
o How are we doing this month compared to last year for Revenue and Occupancy?
o How is the hotel performing on Medallia this month compared to last month, and compared to the same month the year previous?
o How are future bookings looking? What are our future occupancy rates for the next 3 months and how do they compare to years previous?
o What is the weather like for the next 5 to 7 days?
o Etc. we will add things as time goes on.

I'd really like you to spearhead these 2 projects. The Occupancy forecast should be done in Excel and we can transfer to google docs. I'd do the daily update e-mail in a word type function that we can use with outlook. I'm not sure how comfortable you are with either programs but this will be a good opportunity to learn some more advanced spreadsheet building techniques.
