We are looking for a developer who can assist us in converting an offline (single user DVD based application) to an online application. The application in question is an electronic parts catalog for automobile parts. There will be several brands catalogs to be converted and we want to start with the Subaru catalog first. In another words, if you are successful with this project you will most likely get the contract to complete the other catalogs as well.

The end purpose will be to develop an ecommerce site with the parts catalog integrated, however we have not decided on which shopping cart application to use so at this point we are only concerned with (and requesting in this job) the task to have the catalog be converted and displayed online. Once you download the file you will need to create a virtual drive and decompress the ngr file and save it to the virtual drive (to emulate a DVD). You can use a program like MagicISO.

Please install it as a single user application for your inspection to make a proper proposal. Please see attached installation instructions.

We will take this as a base to compare proposals, assuming further vendor's catalog proposals, regardless its size and format, will present the same differences in cost-time

Remember this is a ongoing project, starting this catalog to convert with more to come.

The conversion program will be required to allow for an easy periodic update routine as the catalog is updated (usually monthly or bimonthly)

Please do not quote hourly, if so, please estimate the number of hours to invest so we can have a total per catalog conversion proposal.
