Looking to have the most cost effective order entry database created. This only needs to be an offline database, and really only needs to be access on one computer. Does not require multiple logins or anything like that.

I was thinking microsoft access has all of the required abilities to do fairly quickly. I would like to have the ability to create work orders for my business. The work order would need to link to a client database, seperate shipping database, product database, and some other fields as well. We do custom printing so each project is different.

My goals are to have a working system that I can use to create an order, print a work order, and complete the work order when the job is done. I would want the ability to plug in tracking #'s and PDF proofs for future searching. It is important that this database be searchable so that if a client calls me and gives me a work order # I can find the job details, or if I was to search by a "job name" that all results with that job name in their title can be found.
