am attaching microsoft database and microsoft excel sheet.
if you open database- a form opens
The import button on form will import excel sheet.

I receive this excel sheet everyday with about 800 records and need to import into access. There is always a different number of records.

Before importing the excel sheet I need to:
Select columns Store-city-st-zip-ref1-ref2-ref3-ref4-ref5-void and service type- Right Click and reformat selected columns to TEXT-

(this way I do not receive errors- because some days data has a few wrong data inserted into different columns-)

Questions:
1.Can code be created - so I do not have to reformat excel columns everyday before I import?

2.Can you create a progress bar that shows the number of records being imported in? for user to see as data is imported in and also displays message box that says "data successfully was imported in"?
