This is a complete re-do of tweetyourdomain.com. No need to keep any of the existing site. I want an automated auction site with full integration into Twitter and Facebook. I would like to do the site in a penny-auction type of format (like quibids.com or other popular penny auctions) where the seller can define what the starting price will be and then bidders will buy bid packages. When a bid is placed, the price moves up by a predetermined amount. Admin will be able to define the bid packages and bid increments through the admin panel. There should also be a buy-now feature. Again, every step of the way, there should be automated Twitter posts to the tydomain Twitter account as well as buttons where the seller can push the auction info out to their own Twitter and Facebook accounts.
The auction will sell domain names and websites. The user will sign up and once they pay for their listing, it will automatically be sent out as a Twitter/Facebook post to the tydomain Twitter account and the Facebook page. Then as events occur (bids, traffic, time milestones, etc.) other automated posts will go out to Twitter/Facebook. The user will also have the ability to promote their listing to their own Twitter and Facebook network with the touch of a button from their user account.
There will be a fee for listing a domain/website (defined in the admin section). Admin will have the ability to define listing fees (similar to ebay) as a flat $ amount or a percent of the listing price. There is also a fee of 5% when a domain/website is sold.
Admin will be able to add credits and also do everything needed to manage the site through the admin back end.
There will also be a defined escrow process – using PayPal integration:
1) buyer wins the auction
2) buyer pays for the domain name/website
3) seller gets notification that the auction has been paid for and then transfers the domain
4) buyer confirms the info has been changed
5) funds are released to seller
Email statuses will need to be sent to both parties throughout the process as well.
I want tydregister.com to also be integrated into the site somehow where people can register their new domains. - Tags:
