- Description: Doing some work for a non-profit and need some help. The site is:http://neverquitnever.smugmug.com/ It is an extension of the main site www.neverquitnever.com. Basically, they post photos of race images and people can find their images and then download them for free or get them printed at cost.
I'm a little rusty on my programming, so I need your help with the search function. The search works a couple different ways. It can search the entire user's account for a term, or you can narrow it down by AlbumID (specific gallery). What we need to do is create a drop down with a list of all the events (bear in mind the galleries aren't organized yet, so just make the basic function work for now). The value assigned for each event is the albumID number that is assigned for that specific event. The value needs to be passed to the search and fill the value of AlbumID.
The album ID can be found when you go into any gallery - it's the number in the URL immediately after the title_in_words/
Here is the code for the search part:
<center><div id="mysearch">
<form name="searchBox" id="searchBox" method="get" action="/search/index.mg" onsubmit="checkInput('Search','searchWordsShort','')">
<input name="searchWordsShort" id="searchWordsShort" type="text" value="Search" onclick="checkInput('Search', 'searchWordsShort', '')" onblur="checkInput('', 'searchWordsShort', 'Search')">
<input name="searchType" value="InAlbum" type="hidden">
<input name="AlbumID" value="12510044" type="hidden">
<input type="image" src="http://cdn.smugmug.com/img/spacer.gif" alt="Search Photos" title="Search Photos" class="searchglass" onclick="if(document.searchBox.searchWordsShort.value == 'Search') {document.searchBox.searchWordsShort.value = ' ';}"></form>
</div></center>
Should be done in JavaScript as it is within the SmugMug framework. I'm pretty sure it's easy, yes? - Tags:
