Hello,
we are new to Amazon EC2 and would like to know more about it.
we need a min 5 page summary of everything we need to know in simple language.
we are currently using multiple dedicated servers of this kind which can host many domain names with cpanel and whm to manage multiple website ranging from regular website, E-Commerce, etc.
Operating System: CentOS 5.3CPU 1: Quad-Core Intel Core i7 920 2.66 GHz
Hard Drive 1: 500 GB SATAII HD
Hard Drive 2: 500 GB SATAII HD
RAM Slot 0: 2 GB Kingston DDR3 1066 DIMM
RAM Slot 1: 2 GB Kingston DDR3 1066 DIMM
RAM Slot 2: 2 GB Kingston DDR3 1066 DIMM
1) what can Amazon EC2 do that the above cannot do?
2) when is it recommended to use Amazon EC2 over the above server?
3) how much does it cost to use Amazon EC2 (minimum price and what it will get you to have a typical e-commerce website that uses php and mysql
4) are there any limitations using Amazon EC2 in terms of hosting multiple domain names and using mysql, php, ajax, java, flash etc
5) is everything supported when you signup for Amazon EC2 or you get a blank box and need to install and configure everything first.

| Dear Sir,
I have been using EC2 for one year now in the US and now also the new Singapore servers for Asia.
We have been automating the EC2 instances to start if any failover happens with any server. I can provide screen shots ofcourse, how to use it, how to set up an instance, how to log in. Our automation failover is customised scripts that we use and not part of EC2. I am willing to do a report for you given the time stipulated. Also I am a native English speaker.
