Description: I own several printers that are used to rapidly print mail addresses from a file. The printers use PCL-5 commands. I am looking for someone to design a user interface that allows a non-skilled operator to read from the data file and print the information. The interface will allow the operator to choose selected records based upon operator input (i.e., all records, record # to record #, etc.)

Interface must be capable of running on a PC (XP and Vista).

Data file may originally be in .dbf, .txt or .xls format, but will be converted to whatever format is best for PCL-5 use.

    Attached file: Template.xls

Additional Info (Added 7/17/2009 at 15:50 EST)...

I have attached several files. The template.xls shows the type of data that will need to be printed (including information in columns that may be blank in the sample file). Part of the interface must have the option to choose fields and fonts. See the attached layout.tif as an example. The only exception is the IM column, which will always print in the USPS4CB font.

The interface must also be able to choose a record or range of records depending upon information within the record. See the attached sequence.tif as an example.

I would expect the interface to be a single screen, similar to both attachments and to standard printer options windows.
