We need help in getting past Magento's learning curve.

OVERVIEW
We need a freelance partner that will solve Magento problems, while we handle most of the CSS/Java Script/HTML stuff plus the time consuming customer issues.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
1) Must be able to develop custom functions in Magento, overriding existing functions rather than adjusting core code.
2) Must be able to develop custom PHP scripts outside of the Magento core that integrate with Magento, in particular with the shopping cart and user security modules.
3) Must be able to explain the solution processes used in order to facilitate knowledge transfer to technical lead.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
1) Be an individual freelancer or very small group (no third party companies)
2) Have an excellent record of accomplishments
3) Have reference contacts who will talk about your good work
4) Include 2 or more store URLs (that you have worked on) in your reply
5) Be able to discuss requirements on the phone/Skype in English

1) integrated the Magento user database with an external application.
2) developed custom Magento cart processing, before check out is completed.
