End user visits store and does a search for a part. Results are shown from several suppliers (with or without prices shown).

End user can put check mark next to each supplier he/she wants. End user can then click a "Request Quote" button at the bottom. An email is sent to each supplier that is checked off requesting a quote for that part.

Or if you have a script already written that will do the above along with the normal user account and auto email and newsltter functions i would certainly entertain the look.
