Currently have a website built with .shtml pages. Planning a new site, and need to make portions require registration to view.

We have 3 main navigation sections planned for the new site, with hundreds of pages within each section. Two of those sections will require a user to sign up with their Name, Title, Affiliation, Number, and an Email (username), and Password (the user should be able to choose their password). Once the form is filled out, they'll need to verify registration via an email that is sent to their address. Then, when they come back to the site, they can enter their Username (email) and Password, and view the pages.

We may also require the ability to view all the registrants and add/delete them via an admin section. Could this be quoted separately?

We would like to be able to add new static pages, and adjust navigation as needed within these sections. And if a user is not logged in, they should not be able to view the pages, but will be presented with a page requiring registration or to sign in. We would also like a little box for entering username/password in the right hand column of every other page of the site. And when signed in, it will say "Welcome, (Name)".

That's the basic concept, and we can provide PDF mock-ups of the registration page, and sign-in box. Looking for a PHP/MySQL solution.
