This project has been posted to find a capable developer that is familiar (or at least comfortable) with MercuryBoard (php) to help me review the existing build, propose enhancements (functionality and usability) and then implement them. Ideally, I would like to build off of the existing MercuryBoard install, but would consider a complete overhaul since MercuryBoard seems to be dead in the water and no longer releasing updates/support.

Since the original developer is no longer available for input and no documentation exists, I am willing to open up the site and code for review if you have enough credentials to show me that you understand PHP and have built communities like this in the past. It will be the selected developers responsibility to become familiar with the existing code and propose the modifications, based on my functional/usability requests.

The existing site has some basic functionality for users to add images or text art to the site, create profiles and interact with one another either directly or through the art uploads (comments). I also have some basic admin capabilities through MercuryBoard, including basic user management, featuring art and the ability to log in as any user in order to remove/modify anything against the site rules. We can go into this more, but I suggest that you sign up for the site and run through it for a few minutes to get a feel for how it works. (it's not that complex)

Cut and paste bids will be ignored, as I am looking for a specific quote on what I have outlined above, along with some very relevant work (communities) that I can review as a reference.
