I would like to have a Pligg module ( http://pligg.com ) with the frontend similar to Featured Content Gallery plugin: http://www.featuredcontentgallery.com/

It will display a slideshow of the background image, the news title, and the summary with Next and Previous navigation, automated rotating is optional.

The difference with this Pligg module will be the JavaScript to be used and the Admin backend. The Featured Content Gallery WP plugin uses the MooTools library, I want this Pligg mod not to use any JavaScript framework. http://www.leigeber.com/2008/12/javascript-slideshow/ is an example which didn't use any frameworks. But if you'll love to use a framework, it should be jQuery - there's already a lot of jQuery plugin that can do this.

So where's the content and backgrounds came from? Everything is control in the Admin Panel and only the admins can can add content.

1. When this mod is installed, it will create a link under the Modules section in Admin Panel, see Figure 01 in the illustration.
2. When the link is clicked, it will go the page on list of News Headlines, see Figure 02. In the Actions column, basic functionalities should be implemented: View Background Image (open in new window), Edit and Delete.

Important Notes:
1. This mod must be compatible with Pligg 1.0RC1b - their latest release.
2. The background image for the News Headlines must be stored in the MySQL database.
3. The list of News Headlines and the add/edit form can be in a single page or they can be in a separate page.
4. On the Featured Content Gallery plugin, only the background image is clickable. I want this mod that both the background image and News Title must be clickable and point to the story details.
5. When adding a news in Pligg, it has already a title. Therefore, the News Title in the add/edit form is just a fancy thing in the Admin Panel. The title that must be shown on the News Headlines slideshow in the frontpage should be the original title of the corresponding ID.
