The project is to create a movie listing Web page with PHP. The page should look like this:http://www.jav.fi/antti/filmgator/xb/movies.html
(Only the content area. Header and footer and their functionality already exist)

Functionality:

Listing movies (data from existing MySQL database):
1. User selects a genre
2. User selects a range of years
3. User clicks Go button and movie list appears below (default values: action movies, 2000 - 2010, sorted by rating(descending))

Sorting and Browsing
User should be able to sort the list in both ascending and descending order based on title, year or rating. The sorting must be indicated with a small green arrow. User should also be able to browse through the list using the links at the bottom (Next page, Previous page). All the functions on the page (movie listing, sorting, browsing etc.) should happen in AJAX style without reloading the whole page.

Existing elements:
• Most of the backend functionality is already implemented
• MySQL database exists (movie information)
• javascript sliders (genre and year selection) are already functional
• PHP template page exists

The task is to use all the existing material and produce a working page with the described functionality. Smarty template engine must be used, pattern for usage exists.

We expect the following:
- efficient, well constructed and well commented code
- cross-browser compatible code according to Web Standards

Please bid only if you are capable of completing this project exactly according to our requirements. This is a part of a bigger project. When the page is completed, our in-house programmer checks the code and if we are satisfied there will be a bigger project for the chosen programmer.

We are looking for a developer who has an Apache/PHP/MySQL environment installed locally and is capable of setting up a local virtual host. Must be able to work with SVN. In addition to e-mail, we prefer Skype and/or IRC for communication purposes.
