I am looking for someone to write a very simple appli for iPhone that will communicate between an iPhone and a web server. It will receive content from the server when started, display it to the user on the iphone in a very simple GUI, and then the user will reply using selection box and the appli will will send the reply back to the web server to be processed. The communications would be by WiFi and 3G.

The data would be text in UTF-8 (for multi-language capability) and also simple sound files that can be played on the phone from the appli.

You would only have to build the appli and communication layers for the appli and server and a very simple GUI for the phone. No fancy cosmetics would be needed at this stage.

The server will use MySql and PHP, but except for the communications layer to and from the iphone, you would not need to build anything else on the web server. Just a simple GUI to test the application.

This will be a draft project and will lead to further projects providing enhancements such as cosmetics and functionality.

All code must be open (no encryption) and fully documented and well modularized with clear and easy to use APIs to enable future enhancement. Also, you will need to agree to an NCNDA before we discuss the details of the project.

It is a simple project at a draft stage therefore it has limited budget at this stage. The appli must be able to be installed on the phone for testing.
