We are working with High Definition video and want to find the best quality compressions for WMV and Quicktime MOV video files. Our videos will then be streamed and made downloadable from our website.
We need to encode 4 - 6 minute High Definition video clips so that they are about 50-75 MB in size. It is essential that the viewing quality of the compressed videos is as good as possible.
We currently edit videos within Final Cut and have the facilities to export into WMV, MOV,and MP4, but the videos we are compressing are not good enough quality - i.e. too much pixelation, horizontal lines appearing, etc, etc. We have seen lots of examples of compressed videos, with extremely good viewing quality, but have been unable to replicate them.
We need an expert in web video who can explain to us which encoding / compression settings and parameters we should use to create high quality compressed video.
We would like to send you a test compressed video file so you can see the problems we are experiencing - then we would like you to help us with changing settings etc to come up with the perfect settings for our needs. Unfortunately the source video files are much too large to upload, so we will have to do this entirely by describing settings via email.
