Hi,

I have a flash mp3 player that serves mp3s using php.
I notices sometimes with higher bitrate songs (320 kbps)
and larger files sizes (>10MB) that there are performance issues.
What will happen sometime is the there will be false starts to
the songs (plays for 1 second then loads for another few then plays)
or it will keep pausing during the song to load then play again.

I've tested with different connection speeds and sometimes
have the problem with even higher speed connections while
the server is under a very low load for example 0.05% cpu
on a duel core high ram server.

If you click on the second song in the playlist this is one of the
larger ones at 320 kbps.

I need so help to increase the performance if possible by maybe
modifying the action script, the php that serves the files or both.
Or if you have other ideas I'm into that as well.

This mp3 player is also on a dedicated server and I can control any
server configurations, install anything sever side or give
access to server logs if needed. The server is running apache 2.2
with php 5.2.8

I also very flexible about how you want to be paid for this.
I could pay you hourly or a fee for the project.

Also the player is written in Action Script version 2.
I'm also open to having it upgraded to AS version 3 is that would significantly help things out as well. I'm very open to ideas.

DinoOne more thing is when there are lots of songs in the player playlist, maybe 40+ or so it takes a little while for the songs to show up in the player and I would like to have this improved as well if possible.
