We need a programmer to help us develop a new product, Online Traffic Data, by writing an application to create custom google maps. The program will be used to enter historical traffic data. Each user entering the data will need a unique password, however, the data itself can be freely viewed by anyone (password is only required to enter/edit/delete data). What we need is a simple interface for data entry. Based on reaction to v1.0, we decided to proceed with designing software to allow any "registered user" to easily enter data themselves.
Summary of Need:
Basically, we need a "data entry program" - a program to allow each registered user the ability to add/edit/delete traffic data points on a google map. This data can then be freely viewed by anyone. This includes the ability to enter their choice of additional data accessible by clicking a tab labeled "Additional Data". This tab displays a user built menu with hyperlinks to PDF's, photos, etc. (this tabbed feature may be omitted from this version and but added in future version).
Desired features:
Each registered used has the ability to select a default icon or download an icon to graphically illustrate data source
We like the idea of a sidebar (that could toggled) but can't imagine how to build that list when user data overlaps with other users
We have attached a flow chart and powerpoint to help communicate what we have in mind (at this point).
