The purpose of the web site:

The website is providing information about our company, and as such should reflect our company's image.
Furthermore it is used as the start-up-page by many of our customers.
We produce a lot of solutions that can be used online. Therefore the web site should show and describe these products.
Many customers rely on us to tell them about the most important news on IT. We would like to use the web page in this matter.

Criteria:

The page should have a static area for information and quick-links to our portal, remote assistance etc.
On the front page we need room for news headlines, sign-up newsletter, and an area with “deals of months” or testimonials.

The users come to the web-page with varying screen-resolutions. As such the web-page should be fully usable in 1024x768.

The users usually are not very experienced in web usage. The web page should therefore be easy and simple to use. Still we want the site to have its own expression. Our users are not technical and they expect a web site that inspires confidence rather than a lot technical information.

The web-page will be programmed with Ajax and you can make use modal pop-up's like lightbox/graybox). There can be flash-elements on the site, but preferably no essential elements should be flash e.g. the menu.
SEO is important. As such the headlines and descriptive texts in general have to be text and not graphic elements.
The front-page should have a (small) room for a Google search-form.

We change the content of our web page quite often. We don't want a page that requires a lot of graphical work to be done when adding extra items to the menu etc.

About the graphical impression:

The company is named Datalogik, which means “Logical IT/Straightforward IT”. The name refers to the fact that we deliver trustworthy services and that we speak a language that our customers understand.
We produce professional software-solutions, web-sites, ERP-extensions, servers, pc's, networking equipment etc.
The site has to irradiate professionalism. It has to be stylish and light without too many different colors.

The company-logo is attached and is not sought changed, though it is allowed to tweak it a little. We have attached both the first version (which is still used on print) and the new logo (used on screen).

The red color has so far been used throughout the site and should preferably still be represented in the design. The site will be programmed in ASP.NET and SiteFinit CMS (www.telerik.com). You are free to use ASP.NET components from telerik.com in your design.

The delivery
To be delivered as “screen dumps”:
- Example of Front page
- Example of News page with pictures
- Example of Text page with a testimonial (text and images)
- View Contact-page with contact form
- If some of the content is animated a description of this must be delivered (for instance the function of a menu, flash parts if any etc)

The said should be delivered as graphics files in layers (preferably Photoshop PSD or Fireworks PNG). Please notice that we only need the design. No HTML/coding.
