| The steps of the online activation should be: 1. customer registers user name and password online, buys software and gets key. 2. customer installs application and activates online, softweare gets and stores a token that the server expects. 3. at next start, application sends token and receives answer. 4. if the token is correct, application gets new token, if it is wrong, application jams.
Hope this sounds efficient enough.
