What I need or require:

I need a simple Prototype of a web application that will allow users to sign in and sign out using a single code. This code comes from an RFID Reader which inputs a plain text string similar to a keyboard or barcode scanner. The code must be validated in a xml that it belongs to a user.

Sign in and Sign outs are logged in a xml file and can be reported on using a filer of date/time range, user or signin or sign out.

The xml file may not be practical and if so it may be replaced by MSSQl.

This is a prototype for proof of concept so will not be used in production therefore does not need any username/password access or graphic design.


What I already have versus what the provider will deliver:

This development is from scratch and all code will be developed from scratch no third party code is to be used unless approved by me prior.


Other context/requirements that providers will need to know:

If the application is proves concept you may be awarded a project to develop a complete application.

This is a prototype so extensive documentation and extensive testing is not required. As long as the script works and there are easy installation instructions.


Specific expertise/background that I am seeking:
C#, asp.net, xml, mssql

Also knowledge of silverlight may be useful

Also basic understanding of RFID may assist you however as the RFID reader acts as a keybaord wedge no development is required for this.

As this is a prototype I would expect this to be approx $200-300 if you price is higher or lower please advise why in a private message.


Bidding:

I am happy to work with individuals or companies for the prototype however the complete project will only be awarded to a company with multiple employees with the skill required.
