I have an existing Wordpress website that in the sidebar displays a video section with a playlist based on categories. In short, the code displays video selections based on what category page is being looked at.

Here's the existing design:

1. I have a category set up on widgets (category #7). I have a category set up on tacks (category #8).

2. I have a video category ONLY for videos pertaining to widgets (category #17). I have a category ONLY for videos pertaining to tacks (category is #18).

3a. If a site visitor browses my category 7 page on widgets, I ONLY display videos pertaining to (video) category #17 in the sidebar on that page.

3b. If a site visitor browses my category 8 page on tacks, I ONLY display videos pertaining to (video) category #18 in the sidebar on that page.

3c. If a site visitor browses to a category page and there are no corresponding video categories, I display a default video category (which is actually the parent category of all child video categories).

This all works fine on my current site but I am wanting to port this same logic over to another Wordpress theme & site.

I will not post the code in video.php in this project request but will send you a snippet in a PMB should you request prior to bidding on this project.

I also have not shown any of the style.css code of the existing site but will provide that IF needed prior to bidding.

This should be a fairly straight forward project since the code logic and CSS is already working in 1 theme and simply needs to be ported to another theme.

In a prior life I used to be a C and Assembly language programmer and I do hack around in php but this is not my area of expertise (and I need this completed in a few days) so please, make sure you know your way around php/CSS/WP because I WILL be able to tell.

I will need your modifications done is such a way that I can port this same logic over to ANY theme that has capability to show video.

I also need this fully documented so I know EXACTLY what I need to change/modify/add/delete IF I port this to another theme. This includes documenting the code as well as a document describing the steps needed.

The project will NOT be paid until I receive this documentation and have approved it. Sorry, but as an ex-programmer I realize how "un-fun" documentation is.

I have no problem escrowing funds on this project since this will have to be working on my site prior to project completion & payment.
