- Description: Hi, I have a very simple project!
I need a simple and easy online reservation system for a small restaurant. It's only for groups larger than 6 people. I've similated this system just using the Google forms functionality so I know that it's pretty simple but need a custom front end solution. The key is having the encrypted credit card feature for security and creating a “cart” system and limited inventory. This system will not charge the credit card.
a. People can only make reservations one full week (the current week) at a time. 7 days.
b. The week will refresh each Sunday. As of Sunday the 11th, for instance, a client could reserve for any date between the 12th and the 17th.
c. Each week will be broken down into 6 days. Mondays will be no business day!
d. Each day will be broken down into four reservation times – we will need to be able to adjust these times as we discover how the business runs
e. Two reservations (6-10 people) will be available at each time.
f. When a client “purchases” a reservation their information (encrypted credit card number, name, number of people, e-mail for confirmation, time of reservation) will be sent to a google doc that can be sorted by day.
g. There should be a way that a client can CANCEL their reservation online as well by re-entering their credit card info and e-mail. We do not need to return cancelled reservations back to the “available tables” part of the website. The inventory will not refresh.
