What are we looking for? A custom feature for a MAGENTO shopping cart that will allow the buyer to customize a product with text and sometimes a logo.

Let's use as example a trophy that will have 4 lines of engraved.

When a buyer goes to the trophy page he\she should have 4 text fields available to input the text to be engraved on the trophy. There should also be an upload feature in case the buyer wants to upload a logo, or a text file. If the buyer changes the quantity to 2, then the number of text fields changes to 8 (4 for each of the 2 trophies, and so forth.

Here are some questions I received in the past that might clear up some of the questions you might have before posting the bid.

Q 1: Would the text values /logo required to be seen in the shopping cart along with the item name? A: Preferably but not necessary. As long as the email sent along with the order contains the logo and the custom text we're ok with it.

Q 2: Do you need to have the custom text\logo appended to the order history based on this customization in the admin panel and front end? Not necessarily – if will lower the bid

Q 3: Does the number of Text box need to be customizable via the admin panel? Yes. Not all items have the same amount of lines available for customization.

Q 4: Does each product require the text box and upload feature, or do you want to associate this attribute(s) with the admin panel to a few restricted products? Q:We need to have this feature available for certain items only because some will have no logo or text, some will have just text, and some will have text and logo.
