- Description: We are interested in having a clone (or close relative of) of mailchimp.com created.
mailchimp.com gives users the ability to send custom or template-based emails and newsletters to their own mailing lists. It works like this:
Users can create one or more mailing lists by entering or uploading (via CSV or TAB documents).
Users can then create their own email message (both HTML and TEXT versions) using a simple interface or by customizing pre-existing templates.
The email messages themselves can be customized using some (simple) mail merge tags (replacing *|FNAME|* with Bob or Jill, etc).
Deliveries may be scheduled or sent immediately. Successful deliveries, failed deliveries, email opens and link clicks are tracked automatically - as are unsubscribe requests.
The system should also contain a FAST, multi-threaded mailing agent / cluster of servers capable of delivering up to 5 million emails / day.
I can make further clarification as is necessary, but recommend opening a free Mail Chimp account to browse their functionality.
