I want to have three different wordpress themes made. These will be submitted to wordpress directories and available on a website so bloggers can use them at no cost. So, I want them to be good enough so people will decide to use them. The themes should have a good layout/look and feel, usability and room for ads.

Here's a list of what can help make a good theme:

1. Hooks for the wp plugins
2.template files:

home.php: the homepage template
single.php: the template for single posts
page.php: the template for pages
category.php: the template for category indexes
author.php: the author template, used when someone wants to find all posts by a certain author
date.php: the date template, used when someone tries to look at for instance a certain month of posts on your blog
archive.php: this template is used when either
category.php,
author.php or date.php isn't there.
search.php: used when someone searches on your blog, a very important template to look at if you're concerned about usability, and whether people are able to find posts on your blog.
404.php: Used when WordPress can't find a certain post or page, this is a very important template file to have!

3. Supports widgets in sidebars.

7. handle pages
8. supports trackbacks


This may turn into a ongoing project depending on how succesful these three turn out.

I couldn't decide on a winner for this project so what I did was extend it and also change the project to making just one theme instead of three. So please submit a new bid in accordance to the new number of themes. I also lowered the maximum bid to $100 which is 1/3 of what it was.
