I have a website (12-volt-battery . com) which is in need of some work in order to be ready for publishing. I am looking for a coder who is skillful in Oscommerce and who has an exceedingly good understanding of PHP/Mysql. The problem I am having with my website is that there is not a logical sequence when you click on some of the categories. The smooth flow the website needs to have is not there.

The categories which need to be divided into sub-categories (sub-categories are listed in parenthesis) are:
• 12 Volt batteries (CSB , Panasonic, Universal (UPG), BB batteries, Sonnenschein and Yuasa and Power-sonic)
• 6 volt batteries (Panasonic, Universal (UPG), Power-sonic)
• AGM Batteries (CSB , Panasonic, Universal (UPG), BB batteries, Lifeline, Sonnenschein and Yuasa and Power-sonic)
• APC UPS Batteries
• ATV Batteries
• Laptop Batteries
• Marine / RV Batteries (Lifeline and Optima)
• Motorcycle Batteries
• Powersport batteries
• Rechargeable batteries (CSB , Panasonic, Universal (UPG), BB batteries, Lifeline, Sonnenschein and Yuasa and Power-sonic)
• Sealed Lead Acid Batteries (CSB , Panasonic, Universal (UPG), BB batteries, Lifeline, Sonnenschein and Yuasa and Power-sonic)
• Wheelchair batteries (A-BEC, AM Scooters, Amigo Mobility, Braum, Bruno , Chauffeur Mobility , Damaco, EF Brewer, Electric Mobility, Everest & Jennings, Global Research, Lakematic, Leisure Lift, Love Lift, Newton, Pillar Technology, Pride and Stand Aid)
• Yuasa Motorcycle Batteries


The manufacturers in parenthesis are found under the category on the right (in color) The problems is that all of these manufacturers are mixed together and they need to be separated, organized.)
Allow me to explain the logic this website needs to have. First of all, the way it is now all manufacturers are mixed together, so if you are looking for a particular product made by the manufacturer of your liking, you will have to go through a lot pages before you find the product you are looking for. Please take a look at 12-volt-battery.com. Let's take Notebook laptop batteries, as an example. There are close to 7500 items there. There is no way somebody will go through so many pages to find the item they need when they can go to another website and find it in seconds. If you would, now please take a look at laptopbatteries.com. Click on any of the logos there and follow, page after page. Do you see how well organized their website is? Do you see how you go from the manufacturer, then the categories on so on? That is how I would like the Notebook Laptop Batteries category on my website be organized. As far as the other categories, in parenthesis are the names of the different manufacturers for each category whose logos you will find in separate folders named after each category. I will explain how each one should flow. The APC UPS batteries category follow the same logic as the Notebook Laptop Batteries.
And so the ATV, Motorcycle, Jet ski (under Powersport Batteries) and Power Sport batteries. Please notice that you will find ATV and motorcycle batteries under the Powersport categories as well. This is how I need it to be.

On the Yuasa motorcycle batteries, once the customer clicks on the link, I would like the customer to land on a page where he gets a choice of what type of batteries he is looking for: Conventional 12 Volts; Conventional 6 Volts; High Performance and Sealed; Non-Spillable, Maintenance Free 12 Volts Motorcycle Battery. From here, a list of all the models corresponding to the category selected will appear on a page which will lead to the purchase page.


A) In addition to that, I would like to see a total of 10 battery pictures displayed per page instead of 4.
B) On the home page, under cateogories 12 Volts Batteries needs to be deleted, only 12 Volt Batteries should remain.
C) Also on the home page, under categories as well, Marine - RV Batteries Should be deleted (please make sure the correct category deleted)
D) This message “Edit all contact_us.php information in includes/languages/english/contact_us.php
Leaving fields blank will hide specific field from showing on contact us page. This meesage can be replaced by editing TEXT_BODY in the same file.” Appears on the contact us page. It needs to be fixed.
E) Shipping and privacy Policy needs to be uploaded
Please remember, I need to take this site live as quickly as possible and I do not expect all of this to be done before the site goes live.

Basically, I need the website to have a professional look.


I am in the process of getting more data ready which needs to be uploaded and which needs to follow similar logic as the one above. I would like to know what your fixed rate is and how long this job will take you. Please feel free to ask as many questions as you please. If you have a better approach I would like you to let me know before you implement it on the website. I thank you and hope this will be an on going business relationship.

1. Re-Upload main home page found under ( 12 volt battery HOME PAGE)the icons are smaller on this one and please see if you can make the font size a bit smaller. I do not mean to sound really basic here, but please make sure those icons / logos are linked to their appropiate pages ( just click on the camcorder picture). Also, some of the icons do not have anything to link to, I am getting that data ready right now so it ( example camcorder icon)

2. Upload 12 volt battery home page and AGM Batteries ( this is the page where all the 12 volt batteries logos are found which will be linked to its respective home pages. This is where you re-categorize the data or at least for these two categories anyway. The rest will be done during the second bid request. )

3. Please delete or place inactive the following two categories so that they do not show up as part of the categories on the main home page.

Also


1)I would need you to get rid of "This product was added to our catalog on...." which appears just about everywhere.
2) Would you please check 404 error (Digital camera batteries)
3) Please get rid of Blue or Purple box (Please see digital camera batteries even though it is just about all over the site.)
4) Please Inspect SEO contributions and UPS contributions. At this time I can only ship UPS ground and the URL’s are supposed to be optimized.

5) laptop batteries show free shipping when the weight for all those products should be 5lbs
6) Some pictures throughout the website do not show at all
7) On the bottom of all the pages, you have this " Copyright © 2008 oscommerce and The template shop
