- Description: I need to run 5 websites off of one server with one dedicated IP. This server will run in my office and can run on either Ubuntu Linux or Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008.

| I would suggest to go with Windows 2003 / 2008 as it would be easy for you to manage and administer the web sites compared to Linux. I have around 10+ years experience in Windows and IIS administration. But I am new to ScriptLance and would request you to give this opportunity to me. | |||||

| I for one suggest debian linux ... more stable and is the platform on witch ubuntu is made.... you can host not 5 but 100+ sites on that server .... Hope we will work together. | |||||

| If you are running PHP then Linux would be used. If your sites are using .Net then Windows can be used. Either is fine with us. Thanks, Xena | |||||

| You can have multiple web sites on 1 dedicated IP quite easily with all server platforms. If your sites are PHP and MySQL based, then I recommend going with Ubuntu but if your sites are ASP or .Net based, then you'll have to stick with Windows for the server. I'm a linux and windows server administrator and I can set it up for you on either sever platform based on the site requirements. | |||||

All you need to provide us is a server with Ubuntu installed , one dedicated IP accessible globally, and SSH root access to the server where we can connect from an external network.
