I have large Wordpress recipe site (at SuperChef.org). The categories are OK, but the posts have no tags. Want to ad tags to all posts based on ingredients found in the posts. I imagine the script would operate directly on the DB without me having to revisit any posts.

Would be added bonus if the script were re-useable for other WP sites, adding tags based on long list of keywords searched for in the posts.

Maybe it could even scan the DB and then suggest the keyword list to use! That would be the most generally useful.

OK, Here are the final specifications. Please review them and then submit or amend your final bids:

1.
It doesn't have to be a plugin run within the WP Administrator, although a plugin is OK too. It could be an outside script operating directly on the DB.

It should be reusable on any WP site. It should not require the user to anticipate all the keywords present in the database. It should not need the user to format the posts in any special way (such as putting the keywords at the top of each post).

3.
The script or plugin works in two stages that can be run independently.

4.
The first stage scans all the posts in the DB, and produces a wordlist of proposed tags.

There are already excellent WP plugins that suggest (or even automatically add) all the keywords while you're writing a post. Your script/plugin should be based on the same or better heuristics!

The only difference is that this script is finding keywords for old posts, and for all the posts at once, without the user having to open each post manually.

5.
The user of the script could then accept the list as is, or delete some items and add others. Or could export the list to a text file (if the script didn't produce that automatically). Or replace the list with one of his own (in which case, he needn't run the first stage scan at all.)

The script's second stage goes through the DB again to add all the tags to all the posts, based on the approved list. (The user could run the second half without running the first half, by providing a list of keywords in a text file that the second half would import.)

So it's really two passes or one, depending on the user's needs at different sites: because the second pass could be run based on the input of a text file containing a fixed list. Or the first pass could build the list file based on the content DB, for the second pass to run after manual inspection and tweaking of the list.

The php code must be readable and commented well enough for me to be able to modify as needed in the future.
