- Description: I need a script or program for Linux, which will connect to socks 4/5 proxy and check it if proxy is alive.
Input parameters: ProxyIp, ProxyPort
Return values: Which version of socks(4/4a/5) is suppported, speed rank value
speed rank - speed of proxy. You should transmit 20 Kb file througth proxy and measure time of transmission.

| I had written a snimilar perl script which just connects to a socks 4 or 5 server and tries to make a connection to the target host. If it retrieves an error, we know that this is a closed port. If we receive an established connection, we have an open port and can retrieve the banner. | |||||
