    The project involves creating a simple batch script that can update the "title" property of a document mostly Word (.doc and .docx), Text (.txt), Rich Test (.rtf), PDF (.pdf) without alreting the DateLastModified file attribute.

    Prefer open source scripting like VBScript for easy modification by use later. Must work in Windows environments withour installation of any special software.

    Minimally, script should be able to take in file name as parameter.

    CLARIFICATION:

    The "title" property is to be set to the "filename" of the file for the specified input file name. And the last modified date of the file needs to remain as it was.

    After a review of all responses and research on my part I am making the rquirement that this all be done in VBScript!

    dsofile.dll functionality may be used.

    NO EXCEPTIONS.
