  • Description:
We are an Internet Event Ticket Online Sales company and currently integrate with a number of payment gateways, including Linkpoint. Unfortunately, LinkPoint has told us, and we have confirmed, that the LinkPoint COM object that we use is not compatible with later versions of ASP.NET (2.0 and greater). This is now becoming a problem for us, as we are migrating over to an ASP.NET installation of our site.

We have implemented an ASP.NET LinkPoint integration for our site, and it works most of the time. That is our problem. Almost every one of the transactions works properly, and we get the proper authorization response back from LinkPoint. On a regular basis, however, an attempt to run a transaction using the ASP.NET gateway will end up in us getting an (Windows) error message which states "Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt."

We are looking for someone to help us with this problem, either through some kind of change/correction to our implementation, or with a completely new implementation. I have tried to find out what this error message means, and the root cause for this problem is, but have had no luck to date.
