Description: |
For more info about Pligg and how it works, please visit and download it at http://www.pligg.com
Example usage of Image Upload Pligg module: http://www.yakimanews.net/ - this site uses Image Upload mod from http://socialcmsbuzz.com/community/image-upload-pligg-module-t56.html Please don't use the code of this module as a basis of what I want because it is very buggy and is not configurable and flexible. Some reviews said it was poorly coded.
A Pligg Image Thumbnail module must do the following:
USER SUBMISSION & FRONT-END:
1. The submitter must have an option in Submit Step #2 to upload single image file (JPG, GIF, PNG)
2. The form must have an input field for uploading the image and another field to input the name or caption of the image.
2. It must check if the uploaded file is really an image, else display an error.
3. It must check the maximum width and height of the original uploaded image. It it exceeds the width/height limit, it must throw an error.
3. It must also check the file size limit. It should also display an error if the submitter upload too big image files.
4. On Submit Step #3, it must shows the thumbnail of the uploaded image, not the original image. It can be displayed below the description or anywhere else as long as it is there.
5. When I view the stories or news in Pligg, it must display the image thumbnail. When I click on the thumbnail, it should view the original image. If I click the caption of the thumbnail, I would like to go to the story details..
6. If the submitter edit the news or story he submitted with an image uploaded, he should be able to replace the current image or just delete it.
ADMINISTRATION PANEL:
1. There must be an option/link created in the Admin Panel so that I can manage the settings of this module.
2. Setting of this module should include (this settings should be used to check the uploaded image as stated above on USER SUBMISSION & FRONT-END):
2.1. Option to set the maximum image file size allowed to be uploaded.
2.2. Option to set the maximum width and height allowed to be uploaded.
2.2. Option to set the width and height of the thumbnail that will be displayed on the stories and news.
2.3. Option to set the folder where the images are to be stored. If you will be storing the images in MySQL database (which I preferred), then this option is not needed.
MISC:
1. I prefer that the images will be stored in MySQL database rather than in a folder as files, but it's your option where you will be comfortable coding it.
