This project requires an advanced knowledge of Virtuemart product type, product type parameters and
product type names and the sh404sef SEO component.
Virtuemart has an advanced search according to parameters option which allows the user to select a
product type category and then select products according to product type parameters. If you do not
know this function, then please do not bid on this project.
We require a component/module/plugin that will produce a simple version of this advanced search
according to parameters which will act as a product selector. The administrator should be able to select
which product type parameter names for each category is used in the simple product selector. Only
product selectors defined in the administration area should be available for the web site visitors.
When the user is browsing a particular product category they can click the product selector and have
the predefined fields listed for the user to select specific products from.
There should be a link on the simple product selector to the advanced search according to parameters
option.
If the user is not in a category, then when the product selector is clicked the user will be shown a list of
product selectors they can select from.
This component/module/plugin should produce semantic xhtml ouput so we may style the output using
css.
This component/module/plugin should be written using Joomla's MVC design structure.
This component/module/plugin should also have a sh404sef extension so when viewed by the browser
search engine friendly urls are produced.
