Many changes required to a program i use as a database. Changes as follows
• Stamp order, fully paid or cancelled to the right of the customer details for a job if it's marked order, fully paid or cancelled.
• Inside “Quote number” box – can you link into explorer to open the folder?
o IE – Q-08-192 – if I double click inside the box when this is displayed, it will take me to the folder C:\AEI\Enquires\Q-08-192
• In the search quotation box can you make the following changes?
o Shrink column widths to minimum and allow user to change this width
o Quotation number first column, customer name next and then address, ph no and email. Remove quotation date column
o When the program is opened again, make sure these layout settings are saved
• In report, please give the option to include or exclude all transaction marked as cancelled, and fully paid
• Insert a box for priority with 2 options “Standard” or “high priority”
• In “remind” allow the columns to be arranged alphabetically. Manually selectable by user. Next time program is opened, it must still be arranged in this manner
o 1st column – quote number
o 2nd Quote date
o 3 Customer name
o 4 Priority
o 5 Status
• In remind – show the total number of jobs outstanding in a box
• With new transaction, change the remind date from 1 week, to 2 days.
• Logo is stretched on home screen. Please fix or insert new logo
• Auto fill in the “order date” when status is changed to “Order”
• Auto fill in the “paid date” when status is changed to “fully paid”
• Allow quotes from Jan 2009 to be called Q-09-xxx
o xxx to continue on from final number in 2008, IE, NOT to start at Q-09-001
• I have two PC's that read and update the database. Is it possible to locate these in different towns and read from one PC over the internet? Can you arrange this?
• On the left menu, change the names of the buttons as follows
o Transaction to Enquiries
o Inquiry to Tracker
• On a new quote, when I click on the quote number, it will not be possible to open the folder in explorer, as I will not have generated it yet. On a new quote, when the quote number is clicked, is it possible for the program to copy the folder called “Q-09-“ located in the folder “C:\AEI\Enquires\” and paste it here “C:\AEI\Enquires\“ with the new 4 digit code (Q-09-XXXX) at the bottom.
• I think it's also a good idea to use 4 digits (currently only use 3) in future for quote numbers. IE – “Q-08-488” is the current one and probably my last for this year. Next year and with these updates, I want to be able to call the quotes number like this “Q-09-0489”
I also require a pricelist that is user updatable to be generated. I have about 50 products and i want this to be a dynamic pricelist
