Set up rsync on my server

I have two servers -
Server1 is where my websites are.
Server2 is a backup server.
I would like you to configure server1 so it does nightly backups (using rsync) to server2. There should also be one monthly backup, which is obviously done once per month. This will allow me to get a file from the monthly backup if it has already been overwritten by one of the nightly backups.
