I want a colorful dynamic simulation to run on my web site which shows items flowing through an assembly line in batches of 5 then batches of 1. I'll attach two pictures which illustrate it. We can collaborate on the graphics and colors use but I'm not looking for art, I'm looking to demonstrate a mathematical principal. This will be embedded in a Joomla web site if that matters. You can suggest the language that is best. My last simulation was done in Java.Here is an idea of how the simulation should work. Imagine 6 people all assembling part of a toy. Person A does job 1, person B does job 2, etc. In this simualation I want to see something move across the five stations initially in batches of 5 at a time. That means that person A does his job on 1 item and puts it in an output queue. He then does it on the 2nd item, etc. Once A has complete all five he passes them to B who does the same for his task. I want to see the flow through a process like this and time how long it takes. In the 2nd phase I want each person to pass their item on the next person after then have done only 1 item and also time that performance. I'll need to know the start time, when the first item came off the line, when the last came off the line and the the total value-added time spend and total time spent waiting in piles.
