- Description: i hired someone to install a script for me and for some reason they changed the root password i have no idea why.. now they say they cant change it back..the guy said he changed the password to test but when i login as User root Pass test it doesnt work..i just want to get my root password reset because i run my business off of this server and i have no backup..i was actually planning on getting a backup this weekend...stupid me..the guy said he would try to change it back but hes not helping at all.. i need this done quickly because i have no access now to my server

| If you have physical access to the server, I can help you change the root password. If the server is at a ISP or some other provider, you'll have to contact their support since changing root password requires you to be physically at the server's console and it cannot be done remotely. | |||||
