· We host it on our Linux server

Development of the site can be broken into 4 pieces

This includes website design. Dealer Profile and Inventory Management and Statistical recording to get the site up and running as quickly as possible and would focus primarily on Used cars and dealers

Start and End Date Similar functionality as above, except that the dealer can long in before and after. Inventory however is disabled
Dealer Type - Admin assigns the dealer as used or new and used. If new, admin checks off the each manufacturer carried by the dealer. New vehicle dealers are then integrated to receive leads from the new vehicle section of the site
Welcome Email Admin can have the system automatically generate and send a welcome email to the dealership. Email includes the dealer's login username and password and directions on how to administer his profile and inventory.
Featured Dealer Ability to more prominently display a dealer and his inventory
Geo-Location Latitude/Longitude Enter the dealer's physical mapping location for Google maps
Inventory Pictures System defaults to one, however the system admin may change this to 2, 4, 6, 8, 10. This setting governs both the number of pictures the dealer can upload via the site as well as the number of pictures that will be imported via Dealer Specialties and other third party data vendors
Logo Upload This will be an admin controlled feature. Only gifs or jpgs maybe uploaded. There will be height and width dimension requirements which the logo cannot exceed.
Dealer and Admin Controlled Features
· Dealership Phone and Fax numbers
· Primary Contact Name and Email
· Account login Username and Password
Lead Recipients At least one email recipient must be supplied. Leads may be sent as plain text or via XML/ADF. There can be multiple recipients and both Text and XML can be selected if the dealer so desires. Leads may also be sent to a cell phone or any other compatible device. For those in the dark ages, leads can also be automatically faxed (monthly fee for this service is extra)
Dealership Hours If nothing is supplied nothing is displayed, however the ability to set and adjust the hours of operation is a feature.
CarFax/AutoCheck The system will default to CarFax but a dealer can switch to AutoCheck. If selected AutoCheck requires the inclusion of the dealer's AutoCheck supplied customer ID
Dealership Toll Free Number This feature is not required and will default to the primary dealership phone number
Custom Auto Response Dealers may supply their own. If not the system will create a generic response however dealer's will have the ability to disable this feature completely.

Admin/Dealer Logins
Logins will be case sensitive and will include the following features
DealerID (Dealer Only feature. Assigned by a System Admin)
Username Can be changed by either the dealer or the System Admin
Password (Case sensitive can be changed by both System Admin and by the dealer)
Forgot Password Supply an email address. Email address is check and if the account is currently Active, an email with the login information is sent to that address
Attempted logins into de-activated accounts will generate a message indicating the account has been disabled and that the account holder should contact a System Administrator. The appropriate phone number will be supplied as part of the message.
Account holders with active accounts but who fall outside the Start and End dates will still be able to access their accounts. Those who have not yet reached the Start date will have full ability to add, edit and delete. Those whose accounts have exceeded the End dates will not be able to make changes, they will only be able to view information and or create support tickets

Assuming the dealers account is currently active, a dealer account has the following elements

· Banner Ad Reporting if applicable
Dealer Profile Management
Outlined in a previous section
Inventory Management
Inventory items are either Manual or System supplied. Manual items are those that were entered manually through the back-end of the site. The dealer or whoever entered these vehicles is responsible for their upkeep and ultimately also responsible for their removal from the system. System items on the other hand result from Polled DMS information or 3rd Party supplied data. Third Party data vendors include Dealer Specialties, Homenet Inc, Vinstickers or CDM Data etc.
Inventory Management Features include:
· Manually add, edit and delete vehicles.
· Add, edit and delete custom comments on a vehicle by vehicle basis
· Alter pricing and modify equipment.
· Manually upload images for each vehicle (the number of images is dependent upon the dealer profile
· Edit system inventory data. If a dealer chooses to edit a system vehicle, he has the option of saving his changes. The dealer also has be ability to have the system automatically remove the vehicle once it has been sold and is no longer in the 3rd party supplied data.
· Inventory table of contents will display a camera icon next to any vehicle that has an actual photograph
System will create thumbnails of each of the images uploaded
Inventory Site Statistics
The main site will record the follow
· Dealer Page - The number of times in any month that a dealer's main information page is viewed. This is the visitor's version of the dealer profile containing the dealership's main contact information, logo, location, hours, phone and fax, map and directions along with links to view the dealer's entire new or used inventory.
· Entire New Inventory Views The number of times in any given month that a dealership's entire New Inventory is viewed
· Entire Used Inventory Views The number of times in any given month that a dealership's entire Used Inventory is viewed
· Specific Vehicle Views The system maintains an overall total count on the number of times any vehicle is viewed. Once a vehicle has been dropped from inventory this information is also dropped.
· Directions to Dealership The system records the number of times in any given month that a dealership's directions are accessed.

Support Ticketing
Dealers may create support tickets. Tickets will be grouped into different type, inventory, profile management, reporting and lead management. Dealers will have the following functionality.
· Open a ticket and report a problem. Upon opening a ticket, the ticket is assigned an ID and is email to the system administrator for review. Each ticket is assigned to a particular dealer profile. The source of the issue is examined and the dealer is notified via email (to the primary contact email in the dealer profile) that the
issue is under review. Once an issue is resolved, a system admin closes out the ticket and adds the appropriate notes and comments. A response is automatically sent to the dealer via email. The email includes the current status and all system admin supplied comments. Everything is recorded in the back end and can be reviewed by the dealer at any time
· Re-open a closed ticket: If a ticket has been closed out but not satisfactorily resolved to the dealers liking, the ticket may be re-opened and the process begins again.
System Admin Ticketing Only
System Admins have their own ticketing system. At a glance a system admin can view all open tickets along with all the profile information and history of each dealer. Admins have the ability to add comments for the dealer to see and hidden comments (those only for the system admin and others to see). System Admin may re-open and close any ticket.
Lead Reporting
All visitor form requests are recorded on the back-end and integrated in to a lead reporting too. The specifics of the lead is recorded as are the date and time in which the requested was submitted.
Dealer Lead Reporting has the following functionality:
· Total lead count
· Leads are also reported on over specific time periods including (today, yesterday, week to date, last week, month to date, last month, last 6 months, year to date and total)
· Dealers may also search by last name
· Dealers may filter on lead type (ie Test Drive, Make an Offer, Finance etc)
· Dealers may also add their own start and end dates and thus view the reports on all leads received between these time periods.
· Dealers can click through to view any actual lead
System Admin Lead Reporting Only
System Admins can view the totals of all dealers by dealer over the same time periods as outlined above. A table of contents will have all of the active dealers listed with the running totals on each time period. Admins can also add their
own start and end dates and view only the totals by dealer within this period. Admins can also click through to view each lead.

AutoData research data can be used to explode VIN numbers whenever a VIN is supplied. It is recommended that you add VIN numbers where and whenever possible as it will make your site look and feel much more professional and will be of greater information use to your visitors. Furthermore the research data will supplement added keyword rich content on your pages make them more likely to be found on Google and Yahoo.

The integration of an advanced search feature is really dependent upon the quality of the data supplied, both in terms of what is received via Polling and 3rd Party Sources as well as that uploaded manually directly to the site.
