Hi,
I am looking for someone to build a poll website. Just to give you an idea of how the polls look like, go to http://www.funnypolls.net/. (This example is just to give an idea and we really dont want to create a copy of the same.)
The website should allow anyone to create new polls. A poll is basically a question with a few multiple choice answers. When a user creates a new poll providing the details, he should be given the poll URL which he can share with friends and also the Javascript code which he can place on any of his websites.
When the user shares a URL with a friend, the friend should be redirected directly to the specific poll where he can answer it and see the results.
When the user puts the javascript code on his website, it should display the poll question on his website. The visitors to his website can answer the poll and see the results instantly (AJAX could be used to achieve this).
To put in brief, anyone can create polls, anyone can answer the polls on our website or answer the polls on the user website.
I expect the site to be Web 2.0 based, you can see the freely available templates to acheive the same, look and feel of the polls should be the best on the website. Heavy use of AJAX permitted for achieving the same. I prefer the entire website to be based on ASP/ASP.NET and AJAX while the backend would be a SQL Server database.
FTP details will be provided to the selected programmer, so he can upload the code on a daily basis. As the project is rather straight-forward and a simple one, it should not take more than a few days effort.
Budget is limited for this project (you know whom to blame for this, the economic crisis) and possibility of new work in the new year if you do a great job.

Also dont forget to mention your previous projects in the PMB area. It gives me a good idea on how good you are at AJAX and other Web 2.0 technologies.
