Description: |
Here's a challenge for a skilled programmer. I would like to build a Windows application that can crop an image, merge it onto a video layer in a predetermined position, then save the result as a MPEG or AVI. The video will be a dancing person. The static image will be a cropped head. This will be similar to the "Starring You" function on JibJab in some respects, or "Elf Yourself." Please use JibJab for a visual reference. Here is what needs to happen:
1. User opens photo of subject.
2. User creates a path around subject's head by creating incremental points around the perimeter until the path is completed. Very similar to the Pen tool in Photoshop. When complete, user clicks a "crop" button and is prompted to click "Next."
3. Cropped head image is inserted as a layer into video footage. The footage will consist of a dancing person. The head must follow the path of the dancer's head in the video in order to match.
4. User saves video as an MPEG or AVI file.
I will provide the video footage. For the beta version I will use just a single video. Depending on results, I would like to later add additional videos, however this would be an additional project. I realize this is challenging, however I have faith in the great talent here on SL. Please feel free to discuss via PM. Timeframe: ASAP.

| I can do it.
In the first aproach, the head path would be drawn manually by clicking in the proper position at diferent video frames (just the more significants).
In the future, an automatic tracking mecanism can be implemented.
I'd like to work on that.
Thanks
