We're a New York City based startup that is looking for a New York City based project manager to oversee large integration projects with leading ecommerce merchants tech leads. When we sign a new merchant,we need the project manager/implementation engineer to work with the merchant tech leads to implement our solution quickly and effectively with our merchant partners.

The project manager will be contracted on an as-needed basis for each new merchant. We have three integrations planned in the next 1 1/2 months.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and lead large scale integrations with leading ecommerce companies including establishing and maintaining strong relationships with merchant tech lead

- Translate requirements for implementations into documentation for our current development team

- Manage partnerships with leading ecommerce vendors

- Oversee and implement quality applications on-time and on-budget. Solutions developed by the team are using PHP, XML, SOAP, DHTML, Javascript and other web technologies

- Maintain a world-class level of service, always putting the client first

- Each integration is expected to take between 1-2 weeks with the contracted Project Manager being the implementation point of contact

Requirements

- Fluent in English (English must be first language)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to translate technical terms into plain english
- Bachelors, Masters, or PHD degree in Computer Science or related field
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience with large scale integration projects
- Experience with large distributed applications and building/operating highly available
- Experience writing software that communicates directly with 3rd party software (APIs, automation scripts)
- Core competencies in PHP, XML, HTML, DHTML, Javascript, SOAP
- Ecommerce experience
- 3 references

Pluses

- experience with ecommerce platforms including IBM Websphere, GSI, ATG, Escalate and others
