Program an application like the Amazon MP3 downloader that will interface between the downloads section of Zen Cart and iTunes / ZenCart and Windows Media Player.
Project Description:
We are a website featuring mp3 downloads from a genre of CDs not currently featured on iTunes and are using Zen Cart to feature our MP3s. Our customers download mp3s from us; (these mp3s are delivered in zip files due to the problem of mp3s links defauilting to opening in the user's media player rather than downloading and saving them to the my music folder). We would like to have an application like the Amazon Downloader to interface with ZenCart to ease the downloading process for our customers. This downloader will reside in the system tray and will pop up when a user clicks to download the file. Once downloaded, it should unzip the file to a preset, user-specified location (typically but no necessarily the system's default music folder e.g. My Music for Windows XP), and add the file to the user's library without any required user intervention.
Project Requirements (Non-negotiable features):
• Create a small application like the Amazon MP3 downloader (http://www.amazon.com/gp/dmusic/help/amd.html/ref=sv_dmusic_3) that interfaces with Apple iTunes and Windows Media Player so that when the customer orders an mp3 from our site, the downloader app will take over and move the mp3 to the appropriate location on the user's hard drive, and automatically import the mp3 into iTunes or Windows Media Player
• MP3 Downloader should be able to automatically check for updates to the MP3 downloader application but should allow the user to disable this functionality if they desire.
• Allow the user to define their desired music directory (it should default to the system's setting but should allow the user to save a path other than the default if they so desire without changing the system's default setting).
• MP3 Downloader should sit in the system tray and should automatically appear when launched by the browser (like the Amazon downloader)
• MP3 Downloader must support HTTP, Socks 4, and Socks 5 proxy servers including options for port number, address, username, and password
• Programmer must be willing to turn over all source code and all rights to the project (both for the website and application) without any requirements for recurring or ongoing licensing fees. Do not leave anything out. We must have access to every detail of every file so that our internal programmers can take over the future maintenance and development of this application as we add a programmer to our staff. No part of the source code is to be encrypted or locked in any fashion that would impede our future development of the application.
• PC Application must be coded in the C# (not C++) programming language for maximum longevity and extensibility going forward.
• Please note that the in the Amazon downloader credits, they refer to various open source projects that they integrated into their app. We don't want you to re-invent the wheel here. Please make use of as much of these projects to speed delivery, reliability, and keep costs low. (You can find the credits after you install the Amazon downloader in : C:\Program Files\Amazon\MP3 Downloader\Readme.html)
• PC and Mac application must look professional and visually appealing and should incorporate our company logo but must not infringe upon the copyrights or trademarks of Amazon in any way.
Strongly Preferred Features:
• We would very much like to contract with a programmer who can program both a PC and Mac version of the MP3 downloader. If you only know how to code for the PC – post your price with a note that the bid is for PC only version as we are willing to consider that as an option.
• MP3 Downloader should be able to pause and resume downloads (if this is not easily compatible with ZenCart, we are willing to skip this feature but this must be noted at the outset of the bid. Failure to note this feature's absence will be viewed as your bid including this feature.)

• Please provide a link to screen shot's you've done of previous PC and Mac applications you have designed.
• Is English your native language or a secondary language?
• In what country do you reside? (Timezone may be a factor for us)
