Here is the problem.

Modified Virtuemart shopping cart.
In the product weight entry tab, we modify to hide all fields expect weight amount. we add a product and enter the weight amount. save

Shipping cant calculate proper rate because we never entered the word >>Pounds<< in UOM in product to go in the database.

Before we had the field in the form when adding product where we can enter the word >> Pounds << and the rate work OK!

But now we hide all this from the template file and because we dont enter the word >> pounds <<, the shipping cant calculate.

So all we want is for every product we add, it automatically gets:
UOM for product >> pounds <<

I hope you understand, If not please message.
