  • Description:
I have a wesbite that uses a central hit counter located in my /cgi-bin/ directory that is accessed by several individual sub-directories hit counters. Each separate sub directory has it's own xxx.dat file that keeps track of the hit counts on the page in that directory separate from the other directory.

The problem? The counter quit displaying on all version of Internet Explorer since 6.5 and upwards. (I think was at 6.5.x plus, but for sure the hit counters will not display in IE7.

Works FINE displaying under Operah, Seamonky, Firefox.

I think it may be just a simple mod to the central cgi/perl counter script itself.

PM me with befor submitting a proposal if you want to see a live webpage with counter (to compare IE7 to Firefox etc) and I can supply a copy of the cgi counter script itself.
