I want to create a website that allows consumers to rank people and services they use in their areas. Also, this should be a social network, that would allow people to make contacts within this industry, and should be searchable by specific area or "basin". They should be able to have forums, etc.
Here is the list of requirements, include but not limited to the following:
-each company under scrutiny will have a profile with a 10 point rating, and people will be able to post comments about that company with their experiences, with the ability to make the post "anonymous" if they desire to do so
-each company will be separated by demographics such as location, industry (i.e. plumbing, dry wall, etc)...we can do this however the programmer deems is most efficient with approval.
-I would like an interactive map, so the user can click on a certain country, see the oilfield "basins" in that country, and click on them...taking them to a page broken down further by demographics of service industries, then when they find the service for which they are looking, they can click on it, and see the list of companies available, with the highest rated service companies getting the top spots.
-companies will have a profile anyway, but if they "sponsor" the profile it will be much nicer, and have a seal that says "SPONSORED SPOT" which will cost $197 per month. Those sponsored spots will also be monitored for spam and language, allow their contact information and logo, and a percentage of the proceeds from each will go toward environmental conservation.
-there should be a points system for users, giving them vacations or free gas for participating in the site. they also each need a rating system depicting how many points they have earned, making them a certain level in the hierarchy of the site. Starting at Roustabout, Roughneck, Derrickhand, Driller, Tool Pusher, Company Man, and finally Engineer
-there will need to be a section for Tech Facts that will be in a PDF file and provided to the programmer with the necessary parts that should be converted to word, extracted, our logo added, and then put back into a PDF file. (all the info is standard everywhere and will not be an infringement of any copyright)
-a forum will need to be added, photos, blogs, chat, polls, and other plugins can be added.
(I already own a copy of social engine, with all these plugins, so if you can install the scripts, it would cut out a lot of time. it's all based in HTML and PHP, Smarty Template, so you just need to find and incorporate everything mentioned in this post)
-Company profiles to be rated should be completely separate from user profiles, with a different look and feel, and in an different part of the site.
I have lots of other ideas, but we'll stop here for now.
Please send me a detailed list with your bid on exactly what you can produce. Thank you for your time.
PS. Please provide an accurate cost, I've been as detailed as possible.
Additional Info (Added 7/2/2008 at 20:23 EST)...Also, the site needs to be equipped with a banner management system for advertising spots. The advertising spots should be flexible from 125x125 buttons to 728x90 headliners.

Additional Info (Added 7/7/2008 at 1:53 EST)...-When a company contributes and pays the $197/mo, they should have a separate back office, as their profiles will look different from regular user profiles. They should have the ability to display exact address, phone, fax, their own logo, etc. Also, they should have the option to post news, developments, and job openings on their profiles. The $197/mo will include access to everything that we charge for on the site (job postings, classifieds, etc.)
there may be more to come.
-we will consider creating other parts to the site, such as job postings, rig counts, directories, a main photo gallery, classifieds section, even registration, news, stocks, etc. If not, we will just incorporate another website.
Additional Info (Added 7/7/2008 at 18:34 EST)...As far as the database of oil and gas companies is concerned, we will need some sort of script that will allow us to import an excel file, and have the profiles for the companies automatically created, with only their names and basic locations, but still have their full info in a database in the admin panel of the site.
