Hello,
I have a Curl script that needs to be looked at. What the script does is it checks for working proxies on the web. I enter a list of proxies & I can check the proxies to see if they are working or not.
I can also put in a list of working proxies & a list of domain names. The script then checks google & other sites for domain information.
The script is running very slow, but I think it is doing this because the proxy checking needs to be looked at. For example, the script currently looks to see if there is any response from a proxy. if so, it says OK.
I need to be able to parse the page & make sure the proxy is indeed working well. If it is then it should be labeled as OK & used. If not, it should be removed.
I am getting partial data from one page too. Just like 50% of the data arrives. Sometimes it's fine, other times, nothing comes in, other times 50% of the data. I know it's a slow site that I'm parsing so maybe a buffer or longer timeout would help a little.
I would like to hire a pro that can make this script scream with speed. I have made a similar script in visual basic so that I can read all the raw html & can help you in determining the source of the above script's issues. The VB script works fast & uses the same proxies & pages as the above script.
Everything is done with this script & it just needs to be tweaked & tuned for speed.
Thanks, escrow is not an issue to get started on the project. I am thinking it should take a good php programmer just an hour or two to get this all sorted out.
