Description: I am using the Google Maps API to plot markers grouped into categories
via checkboxes. Some categories of markers are to load when the page
loads, which are contained in a single XML file, other categories are
to load after the user toggles the checkbox associated with a group of
    markers on.

Please see this link for clarification:

    http://fddc.987mb.com/index1.htm

Some categories are being read from "location.xml", which loads when
    the page loads (http://fddc.987mb.com/location.xml), specifically
these: APDs & DSIs, Independent Living, Airports, Stadiums, and Social
Security. All other categories are to load "on demand" after the user
specifically toggles its checkbox on. For instance, "Targets" is to be
read from "targets.xml", located here: http://fddc.987mb.com/targets.xml

I can't figure out how to do this to save my life. I am assuming that
what I need is a JS function that sends the signal to load various XML files based on which checkbox is clicked. A user on the Google Maps API discussion board says this about the preceding task: "That should be relatively simple to piece together, you can just take the Gmap API documented XML loading code, and replace the static filename with a variable, and wrap that code inside your own function that has a filename as the parameter."

So what I need is for each category to load from its individual XML file on demand, when the user toggles its checkbox on. I do NOT want all the xml files loaded when the page loads (as this will take a long time and freeze the broswer up). Also, after the user toggles a layer on and the XML file is loading, I want the overlay message to pop-up during the load time, like it does initially on the map (http://fddc.987mb.com/index1.htm). I am dealing with a large number of points and I know this is a classic database application, but my server cannot run MySQL. Also, I know all the solution to my problem is very simple for any semi-experienced coder... I just need some help beyond my own capabilities.

Sir, I think I can work on your project since I worked on a project with asp.net, Ajax and virtual earth before. Could you attach your current files on this project. I can not access the url you provide. Thank Frank
