The current content management system is very buggy and it's craeting many problems. It needs a shopping cart (virtua mart) and all the content imported from the current system, including all the products, prices and weights to the new joomla install. Additional Info (Added 5/19/2008 at 19:02 EST)...LevelStar Website Specifications (our website is used by blind individuals so it is imperative that all pages be easily accessibly with screen readers.)
Customer Management Section
Ability to enter information as an individual or organization
Search for individual or organization
Customer Information page will show the following:
Contact info
Organization
Contact Name
Address
Phone Number
Email
Order History
In order of most recent to oldest
HMA & SMA Product Information (It would be ideal if product could be designated in the product management section as showing under this section or not)
Section for Icon
Lists each Icon owned by serial number with the serial number being a link that takes you to the information for that particular unit.
That page would contain the following information.
Purchase date
SMA expiration date
HMA expiration date
Ability to change the SMA and HMA expiration date manually
It would be nice if we could place an order for an HMA and SMA from this section and it would automatically add an additional year.
Maintenance History of unit
Listed by date where notes can be typed.
Section for Icon QWERTY Docking Station
Have the same information as above for Icon
It would be ideal if HMA & SMA was linked to our update system which is in MySQL. This would prevent us from having to enter information twice.
Calendar
We make follow-up calls 1 week, 1 month and 1 year after the purchase of an Icon or Docking Station. The current calendar is working well for us as it automatically creates the reminders after each sale. The only problem is that it creates if for each product we sell (batteries, cables etc.) We only need this for Icon and Dock. Maybe we can designate in the product management section follow-up calls.
Order Entry
The current site was setup for transactions using credit cards, however we are finding that most orders are placed using a PO. We would like to the ability to place an order and distinguish between Credit Card, Check or PO. If a check or PO is used we need a way to flag the order as being paid or payment due. When payment is received it can be designated as such.
Add phone and email to the shipping field
Ability to change pricing on a order
Ability to edit order information once it has been entered but not shipped
Name, email, address, phone serial number etc.
Below is our current order process
Customer information is entered
Credit Card Info is entered
Product is selected
Pricing can be modified if desired
Sales tax is calculated if appropriate
Type of shipping
Shipping is linked to FedEx, weight and handling is set in the product management section giving shipping & handling cost.
This page is updated without refreshing to give a total price.
Card is authorized with a for one dollar
Order confirmation email is sent to customer
When order is processed for shipping I enter Serial number, FedEx tracking number, Ship Date.
Expiration dates are set from ship date for HMA and SMA and follow-up calls
Tracking info is sent to customer
Invoice is supposed to be emailed however this is currently broken.
