I am a noob but learning so I am doing this one step at a time - hoping to establish a working partnership. Also I will gladly release access information to ease the effort required.
The long term goal of the site is to enable users to upload music to share - eventually leading to a situation where users will be able to colaberate in the production of a marketable song that we will sell. This will mean that the site will have to work closely with the phpbb3 forum software so that bands form groups to communicate with each other. Nothing is cast in stone.
I believe the first step is to enable users to upload music to a database. The following fields would be required. Reference to the user in the phpbb datsbase, (session control - etc) genre (option to choose) song name (unique), lyrics and the MP3 itself.
The testing site is http://thewikiband.org.
Please forgive my lack of knowledge and the appearance of the site as I am a 64 yr. old fart who did not know what HTML was 3 months ago.
I believe that there should be a table for each genre of music but all i want for this project is one as i will be able to duplicate it
Briefly, i want to upload music to a database that can be streamed and remember my boob status and nothing is cast in stone.
